We are thrilled that you’re considering adding the best dog breed to your life (yes, we are biased). However, English Shepherds, and all herding breeds, are not for everyone. They are intelligent, hard-working, and loyal. But they are also easily bored, energetic (not hyper), and protective.

You can speak to them in full sentences, reason with them, and teach them to play hide and seek but you cannot ignore them, skip walks or expect them to be tired when you’re tired.
